MISSION SHAKTI Violates OUTER SPACE TREATY ? |
Welcome readers, to your reading destination Newsringer
"Every News Matters".
India has joined the elite clubs of countries which has
indegiously developed the A-SAT (Anti Satellite) which was launched on 27th
March and was successfully tested on a Indian satellite which was orbiting 300
kms above from the earth. We have already made a detailed report on that topic,
you can read it here.
Anti-Satellite Weapon or ASAT?
ASAT are space weapons that are designed for
destroying other satellite for strategic and military purposes. All modern
militaries depends on satellite, for virtually everything they need to do in
case of a war. To find targets to guide their troops and to have secure
communication and by testing an ASAT India proved that in case of a war India can
knock out the satellite of an adversary rendering that adversary effectively
blind at a time of war.
India's Message After A-SAT missile technology?
There is a very small club of countries that have this technology. India wants to demonstrate that its in in that club that its going to shape the rules of weapons in space.Mission Shakti |
From the picture above it is clear that
#Missionshakti completes its operation in 3 minutes only and very peacefully.
As and when negotiation begin but there’s also
another subtle message going out , if you can knock out a satellite in space
you are able to knock out ballistic missile in space. India is going to be
showing that it not only has an ASAT capability but its heading to anti-ballistic missile capability which means it
will be able to protect itself from nuclear weapons launched by other
countries.
MISSION SHAKTI Violates OUTER SPACE TREATY ?
India has been a part of Outer Space Treaty signed on 1967.
Treaty And Rules
Outer Space Theory |
From the Globe diagram given above, it is easily seen
that almost every country(shown in green) is covered under this treaty. The Treaty on Principles Governing Activities of States in
Exploration and Use of Outer Space: commonly known as “Outer Space Treaty”. It
came into force on October 10, 1967.India signed the treaty on March 3, 1967,
but ratified it almost 15 years later, on January 18, 1982.The Ministry of External Affair (MEA) pointed it out that the “Outer Space Treaty” prohibited
use of only the weapon of mass destruction in outer space. It did not bar the
use of ordinary or conventional weapon-like the one used in Mission Shakti –in
outer space
Our Views
DRDO and ISRO has made fantastic strides in the
indegenous missile program over the years, we've been able to put
missiles in precision targets and we've been able to send a mission to the
moon. Unfortunately when we are very good in designing these highly sophisticated
technology we still lag behind when it comes to things like guns , aircraft, tanks
, there is some mismatch in the Indian Science and technology and defence
sectors that this government and the future government will really have to work
at addressing this means we can do it, but we need to do it much much
more than missiles. #Newsringer welcomes peace in the future.
