10 KEY POINTS OF BUDGET 2019

Yesterday 1 Feb, NDA Govt Presented their last budget, presented by interim finance minister Mr. Piyush Goyal (because Mr Arun Jaitley, current finance minister had been facing some medical issues for some time).
Full budget will be presented by the new government that will be elected in coming general election of 2019. What do you think about the Budget 2019, Please write the comments below after reading the article.
Modi's Govt mainly highlighted their previous flagship schemes and some new changes have been made. So let's see what are the 10 KEY POINTS OF BUDGET 2019:

1. AGRICULTURE & RURAL ECONOMY:

  • PM Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN): To provide an assured income support to 12 crore small & marginal farmers, holding a land upto 2 hectare will be given Rs 6,000 per years in three installments. It's a small amount but they may need this in the time of emergency.
  • "Rashtriya Kamdhenu Aayog" to enhance production and productivity of cows.
  • PM SHRAM YOGI MAANDHAN: Mega Pension scheme for 10 crore unorganized sector workers with monthly income upto 15,000. Assured monthly pension of Rs 3,000. If he contributed, Rs100 monthly.

2. LABOURS & WORKERS

  • NPS has been Liberalised govt contribution upto 4% (to 14% now).
  • If an un-accidental death of a workers happens, the amount to be paid by EPFO increased from 2.5 lakh to 6 lakh.
  • Payment of gratitude enhanced from 10lakhs to 20 lakhs.

3. WOMEN's DEVELOPMENT TO WOMEN LED DEVELOPMENT

  • 8 Crore free LPG connections under the Ujjwala Yojana, out of which 6 crore is already delivered.
  • 70% beneficiaries of PM MUDRA YOJANA are women.
  • Maturity leave of 26 weeks.

4. YOUTH

  • Job Seekers are becoming Job Creators.
  • India become world's 2nd largest start-up hub.
  • National programme on "Artificial Intelligence" has been envisaged.
  • Govt e- marketplace (GeM)- Transactions of over 17,500 crore have taken place, average saving 25-28%.

6. DEFENCE

  • Defence budget will be crossing 3,00,000 crore for the first time in 2019-20. 
  • OROP - 35,000 Crore.

7. INFRASTRUCTURE & RAILWAYS

  • UDAAN Scheme & Pakyong airport, 100th airport in Sikkim.
  • Sagarmala project ( Connect all ports by road)
  • Inland waterways (1st Varanasi to Haldia)
  • Meghalaya, Tripura & Mizoram have join on India's rail route for the 1st time.
  • Safest year in terms of accidents as compare to previous years.
  • All Unmanned level crossings on broadguage network have been eliminated.
  • Introduction of 1st indigenously build train "Vande Bharat Express".

8. DIGITAL INDIA REVOLUTION & ENTERTAINMENT

  • 3 Lakh Common Service centre (CSCs) employing about 12 lakh people.
  • 1 Lakh village into digital villages over next 5 years.
  • JAM Trinity- 34 Crore Jan Dhan Bank account were opened
  • Single Window clearance for ease of shooting films, is also available for Indian Film Makers, earlier for foreigners only.


9. DIRECT TAX SYSTEM & GST

  • Tax collection increased from 6.38 lakh crores in 2013-14 to almost 12 lakh crore this year.
  • GST Average monthly tax collection in current year is 97,100 Crore per month as compared to 89,700 crore per month in the 1st year.
  • GST Returns filed online & e-way bill system is in the role.
  • The Main Tax proposal will be presented in the regularly budget. Now Indian taxpayers having annual income upto 5 Lakhs will get full tax rebate & therefore NO NEED to pay any income tax. 3 Crore middle class tax payers to be benefitted by this.


10. FISCAL MANAGEMENT

  • Fiscal deficit for FY20(2019-20)-3.4% of GDP
  • Fiscal deficit for FY19(2018-19)-3.4% of GDP
  • All are estimates, so original financial data may change by 0.1% up or down.

OUR OPINION:

Now the point is whether the budget is pass or fail, So as we know now that Govt has tried to fulfill wishes of each section whether it may be farmers, middle class, labours , defence etc, But just saying those things are not enough. We have seen in the past that whatever is said by a Govt, the complete is not been implemented on ground.
