BJP Manifesto

Recently BJP has also released its Manifesto, naming BJP Sankalp patra after Congress did few days ago, you can read all the details about congress manifesto by clicking here. Both the Governments have published their own manifesto and now its time to understand both the government's future plans regarding the country. Whichever the govt is going to win, will work between 2019-2024, but in BJP manifesto, many places its written as 2022, because  we are having the 75th anniversary of our independence in 2022. So BJP set up all different levels of Milestones to be completed unto 2022.
The total manifesto is of 45 pages, there are many topics under which their promises are written.

The first topic which is the first priority of the BJP Government is:

Nation First

The decisive leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has fundamentally altered the national security paradigm of India in the last five years. Looking ahead, we propose to do the following:

Zero-Tolerance Approach to Terrorism: Our security doctrine will be guided by our national security interest only. This is exemplified by the Surgical Strikes and the Air Strikes carried out recently.
We will firmly continue our policy of ‘Zero Tolerance’ against terrorism and extremism and will continue to follow our policy of giving a free hand to our security forces in combating terrorism.
National Security: Strengthening our Armed Forces- We will speed up the purchases of outstanding defense related equipment and weapons. In order to equip the Armed Forces with modern equipment, we will continue to take focused steps to strengthen the strike capability of the Armed Forces , like S-400, Rafael, AK-203 in amethi etc.
Reinforcing Border Security: We will focus on creation of developmental and other necessary infrastructure in border areas to ensure that border security is strengthened and to enable increased participation of and benefits for border areas in the country’s development and progress.

BJP vs CONGRESS Difference-

On the contrary, Congress’ first priority is to provide basic needs of the people by providing NYAY scheme with Rs 72,000 per annum family income. We have already written an article about NYAY scheme, want to read in detail please click here. In terms of security, Congress said that northeast has always been a sensitive place, thus requiring special provisions in the Constitution.
Congress promises to “restore special category status to the northeastern states, withdraw the infamous Citizenship Amendment Bill and enhance financial assistance to the Autonomous District
Councils".

Jobs: Employment

The unemployment rate is highest in February 2019, i.e., 7.2%. So lets read what parties are saying about providing employment in the future.
BJP: India is now among the largest Startup ecosystems of the world. We will further strengthen this ecosystem by :
Easing regulatory requirement for start-ups:
Targeting time spent for tax compliance at 1 hour per month. Facilitating establishment of 50,000 new Startups in the nation by 2024.
Even after having the highest unemployment rate in history with 7.2% in February 2019, BJP is creating Jobs only in the private sector and made people less government dependent for jobs. They will provide jobs as they are doing in this current five years where government jobs are continuously decreasing with high pace. They are only encouraging startups for creating jobs, instead of providing himself.

Congress: There is a huge announcement by Congress in the field of employment, they said, “Our pledge is jobs, jobs, jobs. Congress will fill all 4 lakh Central Government and institutional vacancies before March 2020, Create an estimated 10 lakh seva-mitra positions I every gram panchayat and urban local body, launch a “water bodies restoration mission” and ‘Wasteland Regeneration Mission” to create I crore jobs, exempt new businesses from applicable laws and regulations.”
This may effect the result of the lok sabha elections as youth need jobs, and employment, especially government jobs.

Jammu-Kashmir: Article 370

BJP: In the last five years, we have made all necessary efforts to ensure peace in Jammu and Kashmir through decisive actions and a firm policy. We to committed to overcome all obstacles that come in the way of development and provide adequate financial resources to all the regions of the state. We reiterate our position since the time of the JanSangh to the abrogation of Article 370.
We are committed to annulling Article 35A of the constitution of India as the provision is discriminatory against non-permanent residents and women of Jammu and Kashmir. We believe that Article 35A is an obstacle in the development of the state.

BJP vs CONGRESS Difference-

On the other hand, the Congress party clearly mentioned that “nothing will be done or allowed to change the Constitutional position” with regards to Article 370. It also promised to review certain clauses of the Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act (AFSPA) and the Disturbed Areas Act in the state.
“Suitable changes will be made in the text of the laws to balance the requirements of security and the protection of human rights,” Congress stated in its manifesto.
Both parties are in opposite direction in this point of stance.

Interest-free Kisan Credit Card loans: We will provide short-term new agriculture loans up to Rs. 1 lack at a 0% interest rate for 1-5 years on the condition of prompt repayment of the principal amount.

BJP vs CONGRESS Difference-

Congress has gone a step ahead in its manifesto, promising to waive outstanding farm loans in other states, similar to how it acts after coming to power in Chattisgarh, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh after the latest round of assembly elections.

Taxation Policy & Economic Roadmap

Our Economic policy has been guided by the principle of lowering the tax rate and improving compliance; thereby broadening of the tax base.
GST has resulted in overall lowering of tax rates and increased revenue collection, particularly for States.

Economy

BJP manifesto focuses on ensuring macro-economic stability while ensuring speedy development. The party’s manifesto says it will work towards making India the third-largest economy in the world by 2030.

BJP vs CONGRESS Difference-

Congress party, on the other hand, mentioned a plan to enact the Direct Taxes Code (DTC) if re-elected to power. The party said it will “usher in an era of simplicity, transparency, tax equity, easy compliance and impartial administration”.
Exemptions, Levies, Changes from GST 1.0:
Promises to bring real estate, petroleum products, tobacco and liquor under GST 2.0 within 2 years as agreed to in the GST Council.

Industrial Development

BJP VS CONGRESS MANIFESTO
NEW INDIA
Strengthening the Companies’ Act and a fresh industrial policy has also been promised in BJP manifesto. The party also desires to improve India’s ranking in Ease of doing Business Index. India’s Growth in BJP time of ease of doing business ranking from 142 to 77, and may enter in the top 50 in coming years.

BJP vs CONGRESS Difference-

The congress party has promised to increase the share of India’s manufacturing sector from the current level of 15 percent of the GDP to 25 percent within a span of five years. It desires to make India one of the top manufacturing hubs in the world.
It added that Congress will adopt policies, formulate rules and levy taxes, and reward entrepreneurship that will make India a renowned center of manufacturing.

Micro Small and Medium Enterprises

A special package was launched by the Government to boost the MSME sector. Technology access and up-gradation are key elements in the MSME sector.
According to its BJP manifesto, the party plans to launch a new scheme to provide collateral-free credit up to Rs 50 lakh for entrepreneurs. “We will guarantee 50% of the loan amount for female entrepreneurs and 25% of the day loan amount for male entrepreneurs,” it said.

BJP vs CONGRESS Difference-

While BJP seems to have a solid plan in place to boost startups in India, Congress party has also left no stone unturned. The party said in its manifesto that it would create an enterprises support agency to help entrepreneurs, including start-ups with all-round support including counseling, incubation, and access to technology, funding, and many other purposes. Congress will abolish any kind of angels tax in startups.
Congress “ MSMEs account for 90 percent of all employment outside agriculture. The definition of MSMEs based on capital employed in biased against labor. Congress will link the definition of MSME to employment. A business employing 10 persons or less will be ‘micro’ between 11 and 100 will be ‘small;’ and between 101 and 500 will be ‘medium’.”

Our View:

As both the parties have released their own manifesto, so we would like to tell our readers to choose wisely, which party you want to vote according to your needs. Congress is giving NYAY and 4lakhs central-state government etc and on the other hand BJP supported National security at its highest priority and privatization of jobs etc, So  we hope you understand the difference. The most important thing is to vote, whichever party is going to win, but from your inner self, you wont blame yourself for not taking part in the voting. Be a responsible citizen and must vote in your nearest polling station.

That's all for today.
