United State President Donald Trump declared national emergency on Friday  February 15.

Inorder to get complete funding for building wall in the US-Mexico border. Building this wall across the US Mexico border is believed to stop the flow of illegal immigrants from Mexico, which is destroying the economy in US. The US Congress was strongly opposing to passing funding’s that would require to build the wall. Trump decides to declare emergency to get funding for the wall, which the Congress does not support. The total estimation to build the US-Mexcio border wall is around $(30-40) billion .

What is a National Emergency?

A National Emergency gives the president in power to bypass the general processes in politics and governances. #Emergency gives the president “access to special powers that are contained in more than 100 other law”.

Mr.Trump predecessor Barack Obama used it 13 times, while his predecessor George W Bush used it 12 times If Mr.Trump goes ahead with declaring a national emergency, it would be the fourth in his administration. But emergency declaration by previous government Presidents has been used for addressing foreign policy crisis – which includes blocking terrorism–linked entities from accessing funds or prohibiting investment in nations associated with human right abuse.

Trumps previous emergency declarations:

On November 27, 2018 – Blocking  properties of peoples contributing to the situation in Nicaragua relating to human rights abuse.

September 12, 2018 – Imposing certain Sanctions in the Events of foreign interference in a United Sates Election.

What are the Powers ?

Section 2808 of the title 10 U.S. Code

In the case of Trump’s border wall, the president is relying on Section 2808 of the title 10 U.S. Code.Which says if the president declares in a national emergency “that requires use of the armed forces,” the defence secretary “may undertake military construction projects not otherwise authorized by the law that are necessary to support such use of the armed forces.”

• The emergency declaration, according to White House officials, enables the president to divert $3.6 billion from military construction projects to the wall. Mr. Trump will also use more traditional presidential discretion to tap $2.5 billion from counter-narcotic programs and $600 million from a Treasury Department asset forfeiture fund. 

• Combined with $1.375 billion authorized for fencing in the spending package passed on Thursday night, Mr. Trump would have about $8 billion in all for barriers, significantly more than the $5.7 billion he unsuccessfully demanded from Congress.

Till Now

It is not final whether Mr.Trump is going to get his demanded money, from the emergency storm. California Governor sued Mr Trump for this declaring emergency. Now let's see what will be the future of USA.
